I am an Eng.D. student at Fudan University, affiliated with the College of Integrated Circuits and Micro-Nano Electronics (ICMNE). I am advised by Prof. Zhiang Wang (王志昂) and co-advised by Prof. Keren Zhu (朱可人). My research interests lie in ML4EDA and open-source physical design, with a focus on 3D IC implementation and timing closure.
Current work: I am developing TaiWei as a platform for 3D IC physical design and TaiWei-Pin-3D as an evaluation platform for running 3D IC cases with 2D physical-design tools. I contribute to ORFS-Research and OpenROAD-Research, building research flows and benchmark infrastructure around OpenROAD. I also develop Agentic OpenROAD to explore agentic AI for reasoning about and optimizing physical-design workflows.
Previously: Before starting the Eng.D. program, I worked as a Software R&D Engineer at IC Prophet Microelectronics. I received my B.Eng. in Microelectronics from Fudan University in 2024.
Research Interests
- Machine learning for electronic design automation (ML4EDA)
- 3D IC physical design, implementation, and timing closure
- Open-source EDA flows and OpenROAD-based research
- Reproducible physical-design benchmarking and optimization
